Shafiqur has been working as the Visiting Professor at Cornell Waste Management Institute (CWMI) July 01, 2022. Working on a Pollinator Soil Specification project. 

He served as the Division Director of Agricultural Systems Division at the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), where he provided leadership and oversight for the Division’s research, education, and outreach activities across the nation through the competitive grant program. Before joining NIFA, I was a tenured full professor in the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABEN) Department at North Dakota State University (NDSU), USA. Dr. Rahman has more than 20-year experience working in teaching, research, and extension, focusing on livestock agriculture, agricultural sciences, engineering, natural resources & environmental areas. 

Dr. Rahman has published 70 peer-reviewed articles as lead or co-author and delivered 50 conference presentations. Currently, he serves as an Editor for the Plant, Animal, & Facility Systems Community of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Journals. Besides, he served as Technical Program Chair for the Plant, Animal, & Facility Systems (PAFS) of ASABE annual meeting, Chair (2020-2022) PAFS-50 committee.
